Rooted in Purpose, Driven by Compassion
Born and raised in the Eastern Cape, Dr Ndamase-Nyokana’s commitment to her community and her calling has guided her medical journey from the very beginning. She completed her MBChB degree at Walter Sisulu University (WSU) in 2010, and it was during these early years of medical training that her love for paediatrics and her empathy for young patients began to grow.
Her drive to specialise led her to pursue and obtain her qualification as a Paediatrician through the College of Medicine of South Africa in 2019, and in the same vein, she completed her Master’s Degree in Paediatrics through WSU in 2020 — affirming both her clinical expertise and academic excellence.
Specialising in Hormonal & Metabolic Health in Children
In pursuit of even deeper knowledge and impact, Dr Ndamase-Nyokana became a Fellow at the renowned Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, where she undertook her subspecialist training in paediatric endocrinology and metabolism. In 2023, she was awarded her Certificate in Endocrinology and Metabolism by the College of Medicine of South Africa.
That same year, her academic journey reached a new milestone as she was accepted into the MPhil (Master of Philosophy) programme at the University of Cape Town, continuing to contribute to the research and advancement of child health and endocrinology.
